This Refund Policy explains when you can get a refund for a Sortfully subscription. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. Sortfully is operated by Adam Harman, a sole trader trading as "Sortfully".
1. Try before you pay
Every plan starts with a free trial, and each person is entitled to one. Nothing is charged during the trial, so you can decide whether Sortfully works for you before any payment is taken. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never billed and there is nothing to refund.
2. Payments and refunds are handled by Paddle
Payments for Sortfully are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, issues your invoice, and processes any refund back to your original payment method. Refunds under this policy are therefore actioned through Paddle, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
3. Your statutory cancellation right
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of the day you are first charged, and to receive a refund. Because Sortfully is a digital service that begins as soon as your subscription starts, you may be asked to acknowledge that the service starts immediately; where the service has been supplied in that period, a refund may be reduced to reflect the use you have already had. This does not affect any other rights you have under consumer law.
4. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you keep access until then. We do not give pro-rata refunds for the unused remainder of a period that has already started, so cancel before your renewal date if you do not want to be charged for the next period. Downgrades take effect at renewal.
5. When we will refund
Beyond your statutory rights above, we will refund you where:
- you were charged in error, or charged twice for the same subscription; or
- you cancelled within your free trial but were billed anyway.
We may also offer a refund at our discretion in other circumstances. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
6. When we may decline a refund
We may decline a refund where a renewal has already been billed and the cancellation simply was not made in time, where there is evidence of abuse of the trial or refund process, or where a request falls outside both your statutory rights and the cases listed above.
7. How to request a refund
Email sales@sortfully.app from the address on your account, with your account email and the approximate date of the charge. We aim to respond within 5 working days. Once a refund is approved, Paddle processes it to your original payment method, typically within a few business days depending on your bank or card provider.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy as the service changes. We will post the updated version with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
